Welcome to Stanhām: The Stanhām Chronicles Has Arrived!

The day is finally here.

For years, a world has been taking shape in my mind—a world of wooden halls, crackling hearthfires, and the vast, untamed forests of Anglo-Saxon England. It’s a time of clashing kingdoms and eerie legends whispered in the firelight. Today, I’m thrilled to invite you into that world.

The Stanhām Chronicles has officially arrived.

At the heart of this series are three brave brothers: Theodric, the responsible eldest; Henric, the fiery middle child; and Wulfstan, the youngest, whose courage is bigger than his size. Their bond was inspired by the most important adventure in my own life: being a father to my own three boys, Theodore, Henry, and William. As a longtime reader of historical fiction and a fan of page-turning suspense, I wanted to create stories that were not only exciting but also meaningful. These books are about the challenges that forge character and the enduring power of loyalty, love, and family.

To celebrate the launch, I’m excited to share the beginning of the journey with you in a special way.

  • Book 1, The Hound on the Hill, is available now!

  • Book 2, The Wild Men of the Wood, is also available for purchase today!

This is the start of a rapid-release series, with a new book in The Stanhām Chronicles arriving every month.

In The Hound on the Hill, the adventure begins when the men of Stanhām are called away to serve the king, leaving twelve-year-old Theodric with a heavy responsibility: “Look after your brothers. Your mother. Look after Stanhām.”. The village feels empty and vulnerable, and that’s when the old stories begin to stir. Hringwulf, the boys’ great-grandfather, tells a chilling tale of a monstrous black dog with glowing eyes that haunts the lonely places of the Deben Valley: a creature known as Old Shuck. When a sheep goes missing and strange tracks are found, the boys must confront a danger that feels all too real.

I hope you’ll step into this world with me. Come, gather around the fire and listen to a story.

Your adventure starts here:

Thank you for being here for day one. I can’t wait for you to meet the boys.

All the best,

Kyle Greenville
